Your Gwinnett Tech student account contains lots of sensitive information. Do not share your password with other people.
If you think someone has discovered your password, or your password may have been compromised in some other way, it is a good idea to change it.
The IT department recommends you change your password from time to time to prevent unauthorized logins by someone other than yourself.

To change your password:
If you still have access to your account and would like to change your password, follow the instructions below.
Log in to the student dashboard page https://gwinnetttech.edu/dashboard/
Click on your name on the upper right-hand side of the page
Then click settings
Then click the green Edit Profile box. You will be prompted to reenter your password and provide verification to get to your account settings.
From the settings menu you can change many different options related to your account, including your password.
Look for the "change password" option on the right side of the screen.
You will need to provide your current password first, then make up a new password that meets the password requirements as written on the screen.
Password requirements:
- At least 8 characters
- A lowercase letter
- An uppercase letter
- A number
- No parts of your username
- Your password cannot be any of your last 4 passwords
Follow the onscreen prompts.
Please keep in mind:
After changing your password you will need to update your password on any devices where you may have it saved.
Gwinnett Tech uses a single sign on system.
This means the password for your student dashboard login, banner, blackboard, student email (webmail or Outlook), Office 365, and other student apps found on the dashboard, are all the same.
If you are using the Outlook app to check your email on a computer or Mobile device, after changing your password, you will need to log out of your account and log back in with your new password before you are able to send and receive messages.
