If you get a job offer email asking you to deposit a check in your bank account, then pass some of the money on to someone else as part of a job, this is a scam.

The check is fake and so is the job. You will be on the hook for the full amount of the check.

.

Be careful, don’t be a victim of check fraud

We all get busy and it's easy to skim an email rather than reading carefully.

When it comes to messages like this slow down and be careful.

No department at Gwinnett Tech will send out unsolicited job offer emails.

If you receive one claiming to be from the school, it is fake.
