Lockdown Camera Problems

Usually this spinning wheel issue means something in the background is interfering and blocking access to your camera.


Windows Troubleshooting steps

Here are a few suggestions to resolve this type issue: The follow steps are for a Windows operating system.

1. Completely shut down all apps on your computer e.g., Zoom, Teams Skype, Facetime, etc. Nothing can be running while lockdown browser is running.

2. Make sure you are using Google Chrome when you log in to Dashboard, and Clear your browsing data

3. Temporarily disable any third-party anti-virus program that may be running e.g., McAfee, Norton, Avast, etc,

4. On the search bar type "Camera" and test to make sure your video camera is working. Copy70445e6e58fc.png

5. Make sure the shuttle on your physical computer is open for the camera.

6. Windows: Go to Start > Settings > Privacy & security > Camera. Ensure Camera access and "Let apps access your camera" are turned On, and check that LockDown Browser is allowed. Repeat this under the Microphone menu.
