Setup the OKTA verify app
OKTA verify setup instructions
If you are travelling somewhere you cannot get your usual text or phone calls for multifactor authentication it is best to have the OKTA verify app setup before you travel.
You do not need phone service for the OKTA verify app, you can access the app using WiFi.

Use a VPN
You may choose to use a VPN when logging in from outside the country.
Gwinnetttech.edu is not accessible from all locations.
If you use a VPN while traveling, be sure to connect through a US based server when you log in.
Due to the number of options and configurations Gwinnett Tech does not offer technical support for the use of these tools.

Gwinnetttech.edu is not accessible from all locations.
If you see a message that says "Access from your area has been temporarily limited for security reasons" it means you are in a location where you will be unable to view the website.
If you see the above message, try logging in from the direct link here: https://login.gwinnetttech.edu/

403 Access Forbidden error, I'm not travelling.
If a student tries to access Gwinnett Tech from some locations outside the US they won't see the Okta login page. Instead they will see a 403 Access Forbidden error with a You don't have permission to access this page message. This can also happen while you are here in the United states if you are using a VPN. If your VPN is connecting through a server outside the US you could be prevented from signing in. |
Use a US server when connecting to a VPN
To make sure you can log in to Gwinnett Tech while using a VPN always be sure to connect through a United States VPN server.
