Protect your BankMobile account: Essential security tips
Recently we have seen a high volume of phishing and scam emails targeting Gwinnett Tech students.
These messages are an attempt to get students to reveal sensitive information.
Key Points:
- Watch out for spoofed emails, fake messages from a Gwinnett Tech email
Look for the "We can't verify this email" warning message - Don't tell anyone your password
- Don't tell anyone your MFA code
- Don't approve an MFA push you didn't request
- Don't put sensitive information (passwords, banking info) into a google form
- Report suspicious content to BM Technologies at 855-398-7260.

Financial fraud is on the rise, Gwinnett Tech and BankMobile want you to stay vigilant and protect yourself.

Please know that Gwinnett Tech is working closely with BM Technologies, Inc. to ensure that your accounts
and financial disbursements remain secure.
There are still some items we need you to keep in mind, as you would with any financial account.
If you contact BM Technologies, they may ask for certain information, like a one-time passcode
(OTP), to verify your identity. However, if BM Technologies contacts you (call, email, or text), they
will never ask for your password, OTP, PIN, debit card number, or other sensitive personal
information. If you ever receive a request like this, it’s a red flag—hang up immediately or ignore
the message.
When in doubt, report suspicious content to BM Technologies at 855-398-7260.
Although BM Technologies, Inc. and Gwinnett Tech are working hard to keep your
account secure, we need you to help keep an eye out as well. Please stay vigilant and report any
red flags.
