Per TCSG, the Ellucian / Okta issue has been resolved.
Students should attempt to access Ellucian Experience (Banner) and blackboard in the usual way.
Login to the dashboard page and click the Ellucian Experience (Banner) or blackboard icon.
In some cases students may need to clear the browser cache Google Chrome or Firefox Browser.
We are updating information related to this issue as resolution is confirmed.
Students who continue to experience this issue should contact student tech support in the usual way.

Ellucian Experience and Blackboard access issue now resolved
Over the weekend of 2/20/26 an issue began for some students affecting access to Ellucian Experience (Banner) and Blackboard.
According to the TCSG the issue has now been resolved.
This outage was occurring at the TCSG level and was related to the Okta identity management system. The issue affected all schools in the system, not just Gwinnett Tech.
The TCSG worked with Okta and resolved the problem.
Any students still experiencing issues should contact student tech support in the usual ways.

Blackboard access issue now resolved
Blackboard support has let us know the blackboard access issue has also now been resolved.
As with any large complex issue there can sometimes be lingering problems. Students who continue to have issues should contact blackboard support.
Please be sure you are logging in through the Dashboard page from a Windows or Mac desktop or laptop using a supported browser and then click on the blackboard icon.

Ellucian Experience (Banner) access to make a payment (Bursar)
The Bursar is aware some students had access issues causing difficulty making payments.
Contact the office of the bursar if you have questions about your student financial records or holds on your account.

Don't mistake this issue for the usual dashboard access issues.
Here are some troubleshooting steps you can try.
- Always log in from the dashboard page.

Some students may have a saved link for blackboard or another the dashboard after they have already logged in. These links may sometimes work but will often expire or cause unknown error. - Always use a supported browser
Only Google Chrome or Firefox Browser are supported at Gwinnett Tech.
Other browsers such as safari or Microsoft Edge are know to cause errors - Use a supported device
You may have trouble accessing the dashboard from a non supported device such as a chromebook, phone, ipad or tablet. Try logging in from a Windows or Mac desktop or laptop on a supported browser - Clear the cache or go incognito
Okta can be sensitive to cookies and saved data, sometimes clearing the cache will help. Instructions for finding a private browsing or incognito window can also be found at those links.

Clear Browser Data on Mozilla Firefox Browser - Password or MFA reset
Sometimes it can be an password reset or Multi-Factor Authentication reset
