Setup OKTA verify for MFA now, MFA verification by phone will be going away soon

OKTA has let us know that MFA verification using phone numbers (text messages or voice calls) will be going away soon in favor of the OKTA verify app. The app is faster and more secure.

We are recommending that everyone go ahead and setup the OKTA verify app as their MFA method now ahead of this change.

Due to technical concerns we do not have an exact time frame on when this change will be happening.

How to add OKTA Verify as an additional multifactor authentication method

Follow the OKTA verify setup instructions

Go to - https://gwinnetttech.edu/dashboard/ and click on the log in button.

OKTA Verify is available on iOS or Android devices including a phone, tablet, or iPad.

You can setup the OKTA verify app on multiple devices so you don't lose access to your account.

OKTA Verify will work on devices with or without phone service, you only need Wi-Fi.
